Project Status Updates

22 APRIL 2026

Beach nourishment is complete from Avenida 10 eastward.  Construction activities are now progressing westward, from Avenida 10 toward the pier.   
 
This week, completed sections of the beach are being tilled (fluffed).  Tiling work will begin on the east end continue westward.  The beach in front of Portofino is scheduled to be tilled this morning.  The beach will remain open during tilling, however, beachgoers are advised to use caution around active work areas.

16 APRIL 2026

Beach nourishment is progressing eastward, currently located between Avenida 13 and Avenida 17. Within the next few days, construction will shift west to Avenida 10 and start progressing westward, through the Casino Beach area. Subline installation near the Holiday Inn Express is planned for tomorrow morning (weather dependent).  Likewise, installation of the far western subline near Portside Villas is planned for Saturday.

8 APRIL 2026

Beach nourishment is now complete from Park East to approximately Avenida 17. Work is currently being shifted to Avenida 10, where the crew will begin progressing eastward until they tie in with the already completed section at Avenida 17.

6 APRIL 2026

Beach nourishment is progressing westward, from Avenida 23 toward Avenida 17.  Once complete, operations will hop to Avenida 10 and progress eastward to tie into the beach at Avenida 17.  The contractor will begin using a portion of the Casino Beach parking lot this Wednesday.

3 APRIL 2026

Beach nourishment is progressing westward, from Avenida 23 toward Avenida 17. Please check back on Monday for an updated schedule and order or work.

1 APRIL 2026

Beach nourishment is progressing westward, from Avenida 23 toward Avenida 17. The contractor is relocating materials and equipment from the beach east of Avenida 23, where only minor touch‑up work remains. Please refer to the Schedule tab for projected future work areas.

26 MARCH 2026

The beach nourishment east of Portofino is complete.  The contractor will be cleaning up materials and removing all equipment from the eastern project area in the coming days.  Active beach construction has moved to Beach Fill Area #2, near Regency Towers, and is progressing eastward. 

23 MARCH 2026

Early this week, beach fill operations are expected to occur along Portofino. Later this week, beach fill operations in front of Portofino should be complete and will be relocated to the pipeline at Regency Cabanas, moving eastward. 

17 MARCH 2026

The beach nourishment near Park East is complete.  Construction operations are now progressing westward toward Portofino. 

13 MARCH 2026

Beach fill operations are progressing to the east end of the project, just beyond Park East.  Once complete, the operation will move back to the subline landing and progress westward, toward the dog park and Portofino.

9 MARCH 2026

Beach fill operations are progressing toward Park East.

5 MARCH 2026

Sand placement has commenced. Beach fill operations will progress eastward toward Park East.

26 FEBRUARY 2026

All four pipelines are in place and sand placement is expected to commence early next week.

19 FEBRUARY 2026

Pipelines #1, #2, and #3 are in place.  Pipeline #4, located east of Dog Park – East, will be installed next week.  Some equipment will be moved along the shoreline and the rest will be transported by truck from Park West to Park East in the coming days.

17 FEBRUARY 2026

Pipelines #1, #2, and #3 are in place.  Pipeline #4, located east of Dog Park – East, is scheduled for installation tomorrow.  Survey crews are currently on site documenting the pre-construction elevation of the beach.  The contractor will be moving equipment along the shoreline from Park West to Park East.

12 FEBRUARY 2026

Pipelines #1, #2, and #3 are in place. Sand placement is delayed until March. The detailed schedule and order of work will be posted as soon as possible.

26 JANUARY 2026

Pipeline #1 was installed east of the Seahorse Condominium. Plans for this week include installation of Pipeline #2 near Avenida 10 and movement of equipment and materials into the northwest corner of the main Casino Beach parking lot, located at the intersection of Ft. Pickens Road and Via de Luna (see map below).

16 JANUARY 2026

Next week, small areas of the beach will see some activity as the contractor installs two of the four pipeline landings for the project. Pipeline #1 will be east of the Seahorse Condominium and pipeline #2 will be near Avenida 10.

2 JANUARY 2026

On January 2, equipment and materials will be moved to the beach area located east of Park West and near Dog Park – West. The dog park remains open.

29 DECEMBER 2025

The northwest corner of the Park West sound side parking lot (#21N) will be closed starting Monday, December 29^th.  The contractor will be storing equipment in this area.  Equipment deliveries will begin Monday and continue in the coming days.
